Key Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Group Procurement function, developing and implementing the Group Procurement Strategy, Roadmap and Purchasing Framework, ensuring alignment to the Group's overall strategic objectives.
  • Work with senior business stakeholders to develop plans to deliver savings targets.
  • Responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing review of the supplier and contract tender timetable to ensure robust management of contract expiry and re-tendering requirements for the Group including supplier rationalisation where required.
  • Collaborate with Group Finance to understand and incorporate relevant budgets.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Monitor and forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
  • Assess, manage and mitigate risks.
  • Works closely with infrastructure team.
Key Skills/Experience:
  • University degree in Logistics, Economics, Business Administration or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent command of the English language (written & spoken).
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure, deliver to strict deadlines and manage conflicting priorities.
  • Customer focused with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Results driven with strong analytical skills.
  • Proven track record of developing a central Procurement function within a large, complex organisation, delivering procurement benefits including financial savings.
  • Understanding of commercial risk management.
  • Effective senior stakeholder and supplier management, including the ability to successfully persuade and influence others.
  • Experience of working with project management methodologies.
  • Experience of successfully leading and motivating teams at a senior level, including managing team performance.
