Our client a well- established Group of companies operating in the retail industry wishes to employ a well knowledgeable and experienced professional The role: 

To ensure the company operates profitably and in an ethical business manner in order to fulfil company’s targets. Establish, maintain and develop an excellent working environment within the business

The responsibilities:    

Implement operational strategies as per the company’s approved Strategic Business PlansMonitor and control the company’s performance and finances in accordance with the business budgetsMaximise turnover and profit and affect sensible cost controlMonitor and take action to comply with legal and company requirementsManage the acquisition, maintenance and efficient utilization of the company’s physical assetsPlan and monitor progress of business projects   scheduled based in the approved Business PlanLiaise with principals and third-party suppliersMonitor and control the company’s quality Management systemEstablish pricing policies, estimate job costPlan and schedule all business activities well in advance for approval by the General Manager so that the execution expected times are metClose cooperation / reporting to the General ManagerAny other job duties as allocated by the General ManagerManaging and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiencyManaging stock levels and making key decisions about stock controlAnalysing sales figures and forecasting future salesAnalysing and interpreting trends to facilitate planningDealing with staffing issues such as interviewing potential staff, conducting appraisals and performance reviewsProviding or organising training and developmentEnsuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are metResolving health and safety, legal and security issuesResponding to customer complaints and commentsOrganising special promotions, displays and eventsAttending and chairing meetingsTouring the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers and identifying or resolving urgent issuesMaintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives and monitoring what local competitors are doingEnsure store presentation is implemented at all times according to business guidelines and directions

The individual:

University degree in Business Administration, Economics, or any other relevant fieldExperience in retail industry is a mustAt least 8 years of experience of which at least 5 in a managerial position of commercial direction and/or operational managementFluent Greek and English language (both written and spoken)Excellent knowledge in computers (MS Office)Strategic and analytical skillsOrganizational and administrative skillsAbility to develop and expand work as well as interpersonal relationshipsStaff management skills
